Speaker 1:

What's up everyone? Welcome back to that's Delivered, the podcast where we keep it real, keep it rolling, dive into everything that's moving the needle from trucking to trending. I'm your host, trucking Ray, and joining me today is my main man, co-host, matty G. What's happening, my man?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know, out here getting it.

Speaker 1:

There you go, making it happen, trying to yeah, so. Fake it till.

Speaker 2:

I make it Fake it till, I make it.

Speaker 1:

Fake it till, you make it.

Speaker 2:

Be cool. How about you?

Speaker 1:

It's going good. Yeah, good, loving living, loving life, it's all good.

Speaker 2:

Ooh, let live love life. There you go.

Speaker 1:

Let's kick something off. Making waves in the entertainment world is Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion. There's some new restraining orders playing out here. What do you think about the situation here? There's some restraining orders, some changes that Megan Thee Stallion wants to be put in place. Tory Lanez is in prison. Do you think it's going to be kind of cool things down a little bit, or are they going to keep it?

Speaker 2:

dramafree. What is he in prison for? Was it something to do with her? Didn't he do something or have a gun?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he shot her in the foot.

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, Shot her in the pinky toe, dang. You know what I heard?

Speaker 1:

What's that?

Speaker 2:

I heard he's lactose intolerant.

Speaker 1:

Yeah man, yeah man, yeah, I don't know he keeps messing around with that lactose.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he lactose. He's lactose intolerant.

Speaker 1:

Probably, but I think he sent a message to her through his dad. He's in prison and had a message get delivered Little threatening messages as a restraint restraining order in place where Megan the stallion wants more protection because Tory Lane's, even though he's serving a 10-year sentence after being convicted of shooting her. Her lawyer said that he's been waging a campaign of harassment against her from behind bars. Her lawyer also said that he he filed court papers claiming that his legal rights have been violated one day before a documentary on Megan Thee Stallion was set to premiere. So there's going to be a movie out about this.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was just sitting here thinking about this, and if you had two people lined up, and one of them was my mother, I wouldn't know who Megan Thee Stallion was. I don't even know who it was.

Speaker 1:

Is she a rapper?

Speaker 2:

yeah, she's been putting out some hits she's putting out hits, oh alright yeah, megan, she's like Nicki, nicki Minaj oh, I bet you, nicki, don't like that comparison yeah, yeah, I don't know two sister girls so there's a. There's a lot of these girls like that. There's Doja Cat.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so yeah, I mean that's pretty bad if you got to ask for protection against someone that's locked up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I want you to put him under the jail. He shot her in the pinky toe.

Speaker 1:

I don't know what's going on, so he must be a convicted felon for shooting someone.

Speaker 2:

He got sentenced to 10 years or he has to do 10 years.

Speaker 1:

He's got to do 10 years Serving a 10 year sentence. Yeah, so she's traumatized from the shooting.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, I mean, you know these girls, they like wearing their sandals in the summer. You don't mess their whole sandal game up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I want to know what toe he shot. He shot her in the toe or the foot. I don't think you get Social Security for losing a toe, though I know if you lose a thumb you get paid.

Speaker 1:

Oh really, you know, you can't grasp anything if you lose a thumb, you get paid.

Speaker 2:

Oh really, you know you can't grasp anything. You lose a thumb, uh yeah, that's pretty sad. I don't know what you would do, how you would feel.

Speaker 1:

I mean you would think he has.

Speaker 2:

No, it doesn't say a specific toe oh so it's probably in the foot, because I'm assuming they would say in the toe yeah, she got gunshot wounds to both feet. Oh my gosh. Yeah, I mean what? Uh, I'm trying to think of a scenario. What would transpire? A first of all to make you want to shoot your lady? I mean first of all. But second of all, to, uh, I'm going to shoot her in the feet. I know how I'm going to stop you. I'm going to shoot you in the feet. And what thought process does that enter?

Speaker 1:

So they were in the vehicle, they were riding along. It was an argument in the car. Megan left the car.

Speaker 2:

And shortly after she was shot in the foot. So yes, I'm not, I'm not trying to be funny, I'm just saying it's very I don't know you know, shot in the leg, shot in the butt, shot in the arm. You hear, you never hear a shot. He shot his lady in both of her feet. I just uh. Tory lanes is kind of a punk anyway, for as I'm concerned, you know that guy, I don't know him.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know he's about like a dwarf. He got a little man syndrome, I think he's like 3'2 or something like that. I know that about him. That's about it.

Speaker 1:

Oh, wow, yeah.

Speaker 2:

How tall is he? 4'11". Can you check me on that? I know he's short 5'7" 5'7" huh.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, his first name is Daystar Daystar Peterson.

Speaker 2:

To put 5'7 in perspective, you got to have an X to somebody.

Speaker 1:

He's another dude from uh, canada. Was born in canada oh really yeah he's not like us he was discovered by sean kingston really yeah, yeah, that's uh.

Speaker 2:

Well, I hope he gets his life together. That's pretty bad. I know he's been in jail crying a lot. Yeah she's. I mean, tupac made that a big deal. Once you got shot, you were going triple platinum, no doubt yeah and now she got shot in both feet yeah she's had to come out with some like right now would be a good time to come on some uh, put out some bulletproof boots, you know what I mean. Like some, just some, teflon boots yeah, that would be good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so, speaking of you know drama, you got the kendrick lamar and the drake beef, so 50 cent. He's speaking on that. He's talking about it oh, that was on.

Speaker 2:

Uh, that was on the tv, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, the court Drake's suing Kendrick Lamar for defamation of character.

Speaker 2:

And I'm going to say this, but I can say this that's real light-skinned, that's a real light-skinned move right there To sue a dude for a rap beat you ain't never gonna. I can't. Drake is the only one that could do that. I'm going to, I'm going to sue you. Well, I and so off of what 50 cents said I heard it was kind of a, it's kind of a piggyback thing off of uh going into the Superbowl.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, I think maybe Drake's a little bitter about the Superbowl.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, if he goes in there and starts singing that super, that's sorry. The Super Bowl, now the Super Bowl is in trouble.

Speaker 1:

What do you mean?

Speaker 2:

Because they let him sing that on their platform and he's suing them for it.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you mean Drake or Kendrick? Drake, if Kendrick were to go on there and sing that song. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

You went on there and spewed more lies about me. And I mean so you mean to tell me that every rap beef that's went on since the beginning of like Rockham, that all everything's been factual?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean everything.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean everything's been true. So now you want to sue because they said you're a minor?

Speaker 1:

And then flip it around. When you guys were talking about murder, then they were just saying man, we just, we just talking out of our neck.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know, I think that's ridiculous. I mean, I I think that's real light-skinned of a Drake.

Speaker 1:

What's the flavor today?

Speaker 2:

That's terrible I think he should have just came back and just if he wanted to, he got the attention and he should have. He should have just came back with some yeah grace, and if not, there's no reason to sue anybody.

Speaker 1:

I mean come on, let's, let's be serious losing money.

Speaker 2:

Drake could still drop an album today and be totally fine. Ain't nobody not messing with drake because of that song all? Right drake, still drake, unfortunately man something about drake.

Speaker 1:

If he were to sing the same songs that kendrick puts out if it was, was his voice people would be ready to dance. But when Kendrick does it, it's more like yeah, that's, that's lounging music. Yeah, I think this doesn't have the same voice effect, because you think he's speaking some type of ideology, some type of Well, drake some knowledge.

Speaker 2:

Well, drake, be saying some stuff that I don't know.

Speaker 1:

If guys really say Right, yeah, because it's just something you dance to.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, what's that? One song, oh, that's a good one. Hold on. Oh, it's the wife's calling. All right, go ahead Hello.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. I don't know what they're going to do about the Super Bowl. That's going to be some sticky stuff. The only way I feel like it could really work is if they actually sell the beef right there and just kind of move on and do. Maybe after the Super Bowl, do some new beef. But the lawsuit really complicates that issue. I mean, maybe he'll drop the charges.

Speaker 2:

Oh, he looks like a sucker right now, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, he looks like a sucker right now. Yeah, so, yeah. So 50 Cent. He responded on that because 50 was like well, where's the competition, where's the? You know what's up with just having some friendly competition? You know your rappers, we know that's what this is. So why we got to take it to the point of taking it to court. And then he spoke on J Cole Cole, because J Cole backed out of it and he's like man, I don't, I don't see what the point of that was. Because they should have, he should have been able to battle. That's what we do. He's like that's what rap is all about. I love conflict and stuff like that. So, 50 cent, you know he's all about the smoke.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but he's right. I mean, the hip hop was found on competition. You know it's like it reminds me of basketball in the inner city. I go to the playground, some other kids there, you know he's telling me I'm trash man, you're garbage, your left hand's trash, your handles are trash, your jumpers. I'll work you. You know I, man, I ain't playing you.

Speaker 2:

Man, I won't, I'm not gonna play you yeah you know, rapping is the same thing yeah I'm here to show I'm better than you yet, and uh, and for jay cole to be as nice as he is, for him to back away, that was some sucker stuff.

Speaker 1:

So, uh, yeah, I agree with pity, I uh I like the way jay cole did it, though, man, he just didn't want to be brought into it. I don't know it's his fans liked it. But then there was also the critics of. This is a big deal deal. You're making it bigger than what it what it needs to be well, I mean from a black man standpoint. Why would I want to cut down on a black man? I I get that. I kind of.

Speaker 2:

well, I get that, you know, and, uh, you know, and J Cole's also made references before about how he's the best and there's a reason why nobody can mess with him. And then he gets a chance to, you know, I mean he claims that, yeah, I mean so In most ways I can't say it like you know, like both, yeah, and you know I watched that interview with 50. And he's like Talking about J and um Kendrick and how they're close and you can't have competition with your big bro or your homie.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

You know and keep it. You know you don't gotta gotta, you don't gotta, rip the band-aid off, and you know I mean. So I, I don't know, I, I don't, I understand it's.

Speaker 1:

It's good for your psyche and you know, uh maybe he'll step back up after this one and maybe he'll come in and save drake and come and beat kendrick that's like uh, that's likeuttering, studying being the best at jiu-jitsu but not wanting to get in the MMA ring. Oh, that's pretty good.

Speaker 2:

You know what I'm saying. Like you're talented at this art form, but yet you don't want to really put it to the test, so I don't know, I don't know if you can get around that one.

Speaker 1:

That's pretty good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

That's how I feel. Yeah, so it is a battle. That's why they play the Superbowl. You know, yeah, you know people get to the Superbowl Nah, we the Super Bowl. You know, yeah, you know people get to the Super Bowl, Nah, we're not going to play them. Man, I don't want to be like putting them down like that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, man, I don't want to make them feel bad. Yeah, that's uh. Oh well, it is. I mean, I guess you know it's a good problem to have.

Speaker 1:

Find out who the softies are. Some trucking news here. You know to kind of flip that we talk about some trucking news man, right now, shift gears. Something major is happening in the logistics world Workers at seven Amazon facilities, maybe more, went on strike December 19th and an effort by the Teams of the Union to pressure the e-commerce company Amazon for a labor agreement.

Speaker 1:

During a key shopping period, during all the Christmas shopping, amazon is pushing his workers closer to the picket line by failing to show them respect They've earned is what Mr Sean O'Brien said in a statement. And then Amazon fired back saying you know, they gave the workers a boost $1.50 an hour raise. And he says what you see is most likely entirely outsiders, that those are not Amazon employees or their partners, and the suggestion otherwise is a lie from the Teamsters. So they said the truth is they're unable to get enough support from their employees and the partners, so they brought in outsiders to come and harass their team, when they said it essentially is a dangerous thing to do. So you make you wonder who to believe. Is it Sean O'Brien bringing in outsiders? Regardless of it, I mean, the workers still can deserve a fair day's wage for fair day pay. You know it's like what are they making now?

Speaker 2:

I mean, do we know any of the numbers? Package car guy. I can't imagine he's doing all that great over there I heard a lot of those guys are here.

Speaker 1:

This is only for the warehouse.

Speaker 2:

Oh, this is just warehouse. What are they at? What are they at 18.

Speaker 1:

18.04, which is about 13% above the national average 18.04,.

Speaker 2:

Huh, full-time hours, or what.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's average based off of full-time hours, 40 hours a week. Yeah, then you get into management and you get a little more. You probably get a pay bump on that. It said they have competitive pay. It provides a comprehensive benefit package. Employees will receive free Amazon Prime membership.

Speaker 2:

That's worth a couple of dollars. You get TV and everything.

Speaker 1:

You get a 401k match.

Speaker 2:

Whoa, whoa.

Speaker 1:

And you get the prepaid tuition, immediate access to language classes.

Speaker 2:

So they're doing some things over there. Obviously, things could be a little better, but they're doing some things over there.

Speaker 1:

Let's see the 401k match is a 5% contribution, so if they're doing five, they'll throw in five.

Speaker 2:

You're not throwing in five, you're losing money.

Speaker 1:

It says the employer offers 50% match on the first 6% and you contribute six, they will add three.

Speaker 2:

Whoa.

Speaker 1:

Free money.

Speaker 2:

That ain't a match money.

Speaker 1:

That ain't, that, ain't really. That ain't a match. If the employer offers a hundred percent match, then the first five percent you contribute they'll give you five percent of your salary. So the salary is a little different than the yeah the word play there.

Speaker 2:

Now I gotta think, uh, amazon's lying, they said. They said who was think Amazon's lying? They said who is lying? Amazon's lying.

Speaker 1:

They got some tricky stuff they can do with those.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, match. No, I remember playing what was that game, that card game you played as a little kid. You pick up a king. You got to get a king. I know what a match is. 60-30 ain't a match. That's not a match, bro, I'm not the smartest man in the world. No, that's not Apple.

Speaker 1:

TikTok's back in the news. They're trying to hope that President Trump will save them. They said China has a direct line of access to American data through TikTok, but then they say it's not a national security yet because it's based on speculation. They can't prove it, so we'll see what happens with that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'd be all right. I'm fine with everybody. We all live in speculation. You get a gun at home to protect your family under speculation, right? Yeah I mean you get, you get insurance at your for your car in case you get an accident under speculation, correct? So I'm fine with us, you know. I mean you know how I feel about tic tac, it don't bother me I, I can leave it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I understand what's that true social? What is my is my prediction that True Social is going to buy them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's Well. They said they'd be fine as long as it's, as long as they sell it.

Speaker 1:

The other thing is you can go to Japan. They're still having the decline in new babies. So the most popular cities in the world. They're giving some of the residents a four-day work week in hopes that they will get busy and have more babies.

Speaker 2:

Do a little more screwing around. Huh, less work equals. Oh I gotcha. Yeah, I'd like. That's just ridiculous, steve. You got these scientists that came up with a big idea, these people that are running a country, and they said you know how we can help our declining population? Let's give everybody an extra day off work, and that's going to really get stuff popping. Huh, maybe that's the problem they're in, and what they're in right now is that they think like that. What they need to do is drop some booze off over there. That's how you get things popping. Drop a couple free bottles off of that. What is that stuff? That sake?

Speaker 1:

Well, they're saying that the young men over there don't want to get busy.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, other stuff going on.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there's video games and they got the meme coin. They call them meme coins because they're based off of how does it say? It's working on helping people invest in coins that have no fundamental value, but is based off of what's hot, what's trendy. So they have this coin that's been doing better than the hot tool coin.

Speaker 2:

It's called the fart coin let's see, yeah, that's uh, that's interesting so yeah, here's what I'm gonna have, I'm going up in here so so you're going to have to, I'll be on, but I'm just saying you know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it says the meme coin fart corn, topped at the market cap of $700 million, making it worth more than a bunch of US publicly traded firms. So it was thought that it would be a joke. And that's the whole point. The meme coins trade on attention and being viral. So as soon as they drop and no one's giving them attention anymore, then they drop. So, like the Hot Tua meme coin that dropped and it's very controversial now because she might be going to jail for doing rug pull. She what? Yeah, she might be going to jail for doing rug pull. She what? Yeah, she might be going to jail because of the coin. They got all these people hyped up to go into it and now they're complaining because they did a rug pull on them where they all pull out and take the money and run.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's illegal they're going after her.

Speaker 1:

She might go to jail.

Speaker 2:

That's a Ponzi scheme.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Oh man, she came too far for that. That's terrible.

Speaker 1:

You're making her sad. Yeah, that encouraged her to get into it.

Speaker 2:

I wonder if someone took advantage of her Not going. Well, that's terrible, the hot tour.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, that's the hot tour thing. And then we got the.

Speaker 2:

I'm disappointed in her. I just want to go on the record and say that I'm very disappointed in her.

Speaker 1:

The other one is the murder. Hornets have been eradicated from the US. It's a farewell to the enormous invasive nightmare that you probably forgot all about. So about five years ago they were spotted in the US for the first time, in Washington State. The world's biggest hornet is officially out of the US. So this two inch long insect, you know, first discovered it. What it would do is it would decapitate the honeybees and it would commandeer their hives in less than two hours. So now they found out that there's no tracking left in less than two hours. So now they found out that there's no tracking left, they follow them all the way to the queen and made sure that there was no more emergency.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, that's pretty much it, man, for all the truckers listening, I'll let you know that. You know, I know the holiday season is ramping up. The timing's coming. You know it couldn't be worse for a lot of that Amazon stuff, but we're going to try to get that stuff delivered ship with ups. If you're having some doubts, you know that might be the best way to go. Yeah and uh, we'll keep you up to date with all this strike stuff. I'm sure it won't be the end of it. Um, you can hit us up on social media, drop a comment, we'd love to hear your take. All right, we covered a lot today Music industry, beef, legal drama, the shakeups in the logistics. That's what my guy, matty G.

Speaker 2:

It's pretty much like the national news right here. David Miller. National news for David Miller.

Speaker 1:

Oh man, that gives me something to talk about. Talk about with your friends and family, say, hey, you know what's your take on it. Thanks for riding with us today. Don't forget to subscribe, share and keep on delivering. And then also don't text and drive. And if you could do anybody a favor while you're out there, turn on your lights so we can see you Appreciate it. All right, y'all, until next time that's delivered.

Speaker 2:

Have a good one All right, see you, man.
